My exposure and impression regarding Plainfield's downtown restaurants is that they are mostly a variation of Latin foods (Mexican, Columbian, Peruvian etc). All good, but same theme, and there is not one place that I would good for a special night out.

So, I would like an Italian restaurant, Sushi, Vietnameese, plain old American bistro, perhaps vegan, steakhouse, or Chineese. Some a bit more upscale than others, but more ethnically diverse.

I do appreciate all the food places that are already downtown. But I would like other choices, not only ethnically, but also varying degrees of cost. I would much rather spend my money in Plainfield than Westfield, or Cranford.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6911830315140428673.post-83618453662305417352017-06-04T12:36:31.220-04:002017-06-04T12:36:31.220-04:00This truly is not an attack....I am interested in ...This truly is not an attack....I am interested in what you would consider 'diverse' restaurants? My reason for asking is that we hear much about our town's diversity....and how we have all this retail/restaurants, etc., that showcase our diversity...but I don't know what that means (again, I am serious and interested to know)...I am trying to figure out what would make Plainfield work, be attractive to people from other towns when we have a great deal of diversity and it doesn't appear to be a draw to others...Thank you ....dahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15493794653642967389noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6911830315140428673.post-80599729963311568442017-06-02T20:13:08.562-04:002017-06-02T20:13:08.562-04:00If you don't usually go to Planning Board meet...If you don't usually go to Planning Board meetings, the terminology can be a little daunting. Also someone mentioned sewer lines and the property owners thought the PMUA was involved. Actually I went out to ask them what
they thought, because they didn't speak in public comment. I have to give them credit for attending the meeting and sitting through a lot of stuff before the hearing took place.Bernicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17728257853330372835noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6911830315140428673.post-54848698939672751312017-06-02T17:17:59.002-04:002017-06-02T17:17:59.002-04:00Why would two people with an economic interest in ...Why would two people with an economic interest in the board's decision not speak?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6911830315140428673.post-69097185022463373222017-06-02T11:24:30.862-04:002017-06-02T11:24:30.862-04:00It should be next.
