I know, I know, yes I know. Cold water on your delight, but who decides who can open up a stand on City Property [or is it private the city has annexed] and put up competition to the stores paying property taxes??
ReplyDeleteThe land belongs to the Salvation Army. The summer program includes vouchers for WIC clients and seniors to get fresh produce.
DeleteWIC is a federal program. Not sure they are competing with local stores. BTW, have you ever taken a close look at produce at the nearest supermarket? Often it is iffy at best.
