Gun Graffiti - Why?

East Ninth and Third Place.

Gun images, along with blue paint, have popped up in or near the Crescent Area Historic District.
Park Avenue near Crescent Avenue.

It would be interesting to know whether this is only happening in this neighborhood or whether it is widespread.

East Ninth and Park Avenue.

Is the blue color a gang thing? People around here would like to know what, if anything, the image is supposed to signify. Is it territorial? If any readers have theories or especially facts about this new phenomenon, please leave a comment.

  1. Because when they have done other "Wrong" things, they say we just be playing and get off with NO punishment.

  2. Bernice I saw the gun markings near the library, while walking. It is distrubing to know that this was not an isolated incident. As a prank it is ridiculous; as anything else it is somewhat scary. Is someone marking thier territory around the South side now. Jeez, I used to feel safe around here.

  4. I think we need some new people in this administration, since our mayor seems to have nothing to offer or even seems to care. We need a plan and programs for young people.
