There is a way to do get the city parking lots paved quickly. We can fire the idiots who are in charge of this, allow fair bidding and keep the process transparent. The citizens of Plainfield are already getting ripped-off with the street paving, which is not always fairly done and costs too much. Maybe we should look at the person at the top of this dung heap, our mayor and demand that she do her job.
I have been reporting on Plainfield for more than 30 years, first at the Plainfield Today weekly, then at the Courier News and after retirement on the Plainfield Plaintalker blog and its successor, Plaintalker II.

ReplyDeleteLooks great. Nice to see someone taking care of paving. Just wish they could have added some trees/ landscaping to the property to dress it up more.
ReplyDeleteI think there were trees or shrubs on the islands at the ends of aisles at one time. Maybe they got hit by cars.
