Double Meetings, Toil and Trouble

Oh snap! Here I am at my age and have not yet learned how to be in two places at once!

Bilocation would be a very handy skill in coming days. On Monday, there is an agenda-fixing session at 7:30 p.m. in Municipal Court, but according to a notice just posted, the PMUA is holding a special meeting at 6 p.m. over at 127 Roosevelt Ave. with an executive session, closed to the public, to discuss personnel matters and then there may  be possible action on appointment of an Executive Director and also "authorization of an additional signatory," whatever that means.

On Wednesday, the Zoning Board of Adjustment meets at 7:30 p.m. in City Hall Library, while the City Council, their budget consultant and the Citizens' Budget Advisory Committee meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the Senior Center, 400 E. Front St. Topics are the Police and Fire Divisions

Then on Thursday there is another budget meeting, 7 p.m. in the Plainfield Public Library's Anne Louise Davis Room, to discuss the budget for the office of the mayor. Meanwhile, the Planning Board meets at 7:30 p.m. in City Hall Library, 515 Watchung Ave.

I think it was Carlos Castaneda that hipped me to bilocation. Anybody know a good sorcerer or shaman around here?

  2. Well what it means is as of Friday employees say that both the executive director and cfo have been fired so they are missing someone to sign checks.

    1. They have absolutely no one running the organization. The meeting is to appoint a new executive director and cfo that are friends of Eric Watsons that have no idea of how to run the place. The Board is stupid not to have had a plan in place. Im not suprised because that new chairman doesn't have a clue. They are in more trouble them they want us to know about and they are trying to keep it quiet. It will all be out soon

  3. Rumor says the PMUA meeting is an emergency, however this is something that a good local media outlet would have in print. The other budget conflicts and scheduled "commission" meetings is typical Council with no regard or public input & knowledge. The different locations and poor accesibility are typical of lack of pre-planning.

  4. Well Oldoc I guess we don't have a "good local media " because I work there and we are without a CFO and Executive Director....It was short notice and unexpected also locks have already been changed on doors hence the need for an emergency meeting on Monday and appointment of signatory so bills can be paid.
We are concerned about pay next week and the stability of the company as a whole. They keep making changes but yet still things remain the same. It's a buddy system and who the in crowd is.

    1. If I worked there and there was no director or cfo i would worry about my pay check too. I will be praying for you. The board is responsible for the mess and all the employees need to come out to the next meeting and voice their concerns
