Bernice: think of this 76 staff members and 270 kids. The Parent of each kid has to park, walk the child in, sign in, a process expected to take five to 10 minutes, morning and evening. Anyone who needs to drive in the area of Leland and 7th, east, west, north, south between 7.30 and 9 am better install a heli-pad right now to get anywhere. This is craziness. And our tax money, through the Board of Education budget, is helping make it possible.
ReplyDelete@Pat TK -Stop the nonsense! I think you are over exaggerating the situation. There will be NO traffic jam in that area. This is not like a public school where all of the children come to school at the same time. The time is from 7:30AM to 9:00AM. And - many of those children will more than likely be on a bus.
ReplyDeleteAnd some of these children are from low income families and the family will not have a car and so they will walk. There will be less people driving their children to HOPES than any of the other means of transportation.
So. . . in other words . . . chill. That Armory is going to get a serious facelift. Buckle your seatbelt and enjoy the view.
