Is the Queen City the place where time stands still?

  1. Jerry "I Run this Mother...." Green, the King of gutter style politicks. And he is the one who disrespects and exploits the people of Plainfield to deliver the good to the "overseers" in Trenton for a few crumbs in his pocket and absolutely nothing for the people. Then accuses others of dividing the black community. He uses this rhetoric to divide the entire Plainfield community. Despicable.

  2. Bernice you were a great blogger then and you are a great blogger now. I went back and read those blogs, but the one I laughed at was (of course) the old Slimey Ass. Green's. The first issue that came to mind was Muhlenberg. Thanks to the former Mayor Sharon Robinson Briggs (formerly and presently one of the many Ass. Jerry Green's puppet's) and the most execrated but electable Ass. Gerald Green for trading the very essential Muhlenberg hospital for 661 Units Housing Project.

Wake up Plainfield. VOTE SMART! DUMP GREEN!

"John and I got into politics within the city of Plainfield at around the same time. Yet there is not ONE thing that John Campbell can show for himself in the realm of improving the quality of life here within the City of Plainfield; except for taking advantage of people who trusted and believed in his leadership. I have worked with Republicans in Trenton on different issues that got the ball rolling in moving our State in the right direction when it comes to quality of life issues."

  3. The sad part is that John Campbell was never elected to the school board but he brags about how he controls the board. Go figure.

  4. OK so if my calculations are correct, according to your 2009 post Mrs Campbell was in her second 4 year term and now 2014 she and her husband has been controlling the board for the last 13 years and yet the same school system is still failing and Plainfield's real estate market is still in the sewer while all the surrounding towns are enjoying an upswing. It' time for the kingmaker, his wife and their republican slate to go.

  5. The school system is flush with money that doesn't come from Plainfeild..so the personal involvement for this community in the affairs and waste of $ from the school system is almost nothing..Shame Governor Corzine stopped the audits from being released after the waste from the few formerly know as Abbott Districts was revealed.. both the city government and the school district lack accountability because those that do care either don't vote or can't vote for someone who they aren't told to vote for...
The only laughable part of it all is watching the finger pointing from both factions decrying the other's nepotism, waste, and patronage mills...
He who lives in glass houses indeed...
The school system would change if the state no longer paid for 85% of it.. the city government would change if the local Dems had the enough sense to fill a thimble and vote Jerry and Compnay out... good luck with that.. Still waiting for Storches annual VOTE THE DEMOCRATIC LINE BLOG POST.

  6. Green and his kind know poor is good, it's a money maker for them to keep a city as unatractive as they are. You keep electing them so live with it- point the finger at those who don't even bother to vote. the people of Plainfield like the way things are run or it would change. It's a simple matter of enough of us going out and pushing a button to make the difference.

    1. Do you mean the same way we continue to elect the Campbell's and their slate for the school board?

  7. Until parents become involved with their kids education, we will continue to have a failing school system. We live in a town where having a rec field will evoke more response than the fact that we are in the lowest 10% of NJ schools.

We have thrown away a generation of kids lives. Pity.
