Sign at the new hat shop on Watchung Avenue ...
My favorite Linden tree by City Hall fell to the winds.
So did the YMCA sign.
Precarious tree on Watchung Avenue.
Flags and banners downtown did not fare well.
Watchung Avenue heading toward Front Street.
A lot of facades were destroyed by the wind.
Endorsed by Bloomberg and The New Yorker - one lost campaign sign probably won't matter.
People were looking for food but the power was out.
Twin City opened later on Tuesday, cash only with no power.
A lot of people don't have kitchen facilities in Plainfield and rely on Park Avenue restaurants for food.
Drivers at Park & Seventh had to take turns crossing the intersection without traffic lights.
Could this be part of our power problem?
Compared to folks down the shore, we are doing very well and we are thankful. Estimated return for power now is Thursday. Our challenge will be to stay warm with the temperature dropping and a new storm coming. Take care, everybody!

So many of the trees took down poles with transformers we'll be without power in many neighborhoods for quite awhile.
