Orange has a chief of staff to the mayor. They seem good at holding office in a second municipality, where their campaign committee gets contributions from a third municipality's vendors, and then funnels them back into the mayoral campaign of the third municipality in order to get around its pay-to-play ordinances and disguise the true source of the contributions. And if that's not confusing enough, the newly elected mayor of that second municipality, a political ally of the Chief of Staff, is the spouse of the former City Administrator of the third municipality. Making things even more bizarre, one of the vendors is the former Chief of Staff to a former governor who is currently a well-publicized Transition Team member. Who says money can't buy happiness, or that experience can't buy money?
