Edghill is housing administrator at Covenant Manor, a housing facility on East Front Street. She succeeds Rickey Williams for an unexpired term to 2016.
Readers have raised the question of appointments to the Plainfield Municipal Utilities Authority, but so far no names have been offered. Former Mayor Sharon Robinson-Briggs made numerous attempts to have some commissioners switched to longer terms and consistently targeted former Mayor Harold Mitchell for replacement. Here is a chart of her proposed appointments and changes:

Ironically, she was still proposing Barbara James after she interrupted a Planning Board meeting to bid farewell to James, who was moving out of Plainfield. James was serving as the mayor's designee to the Planning Board.
The proposed appointments never came up for a vote before the mayor's term ended.
The PMUA reorganizes in February, so it would be logical to make appointments soon. This authority is very powerful and important items can pass with just three votes, as Plainfield found out in January 2012 when commissioners approved a controversial settlement with former Executive Director Eric Watson and Assistant Director David Ervin.
All remains to be revealed, so stay tuned.
