More To Follow on Council Meeting

Tuesday's City Council meeting was perhaps the most contentious this year. Speakers called for removal of all new hires in the administration of Mayor Adrian O. Mapp and council members promised sharp cuts in the budget. Former Mayor Sharon Robinson-Briggs read out a list of cuts she recommended, but also urged approval of expenses she made in 2013 for a gang workshop and related activities. There was more, all of which was captured on tape for later viewing on television or YouTube. Check the blogs in coming days.

  1. Regarding the copies of documents Robinson-Briggs submitted as monies owed to her food vendors, etc., she deliberately "whited out"--altered and falsified--the dates and other information on them before giving them to the council to hide certain aspects of the supposed "expenses" she wants taxpayers to foot the bill for. There is a witness to this. What is she hiding? In the world I live in, it's criminal to falsify documents in an attempt to get paid. Well, we know, from past history, the world she lives in.

There is no proof, aside from her blathering, that these bills were incurred for city events. Again, folks, altered copies with missing information that she expects you to pay for. I, for one, find that submitting deliberately altered invoices should be treated as a criminal matter.

    1. Arrest Shady. She needs a prison cell for stealing from the tax payers.

  2. Council women Williams I tend to not agree with you on a lot of things but if the council pay some bills that have been altered then they should go to jail.

It is criminal and against the law.

Can we the public get a copy of the documents as they stand?

  3. Let her submit them... Love seeing people walk into a felony blindly and with arrogance... Take them... turn them over to the State Prosecutors office.
