GOP Primary Winners Withdraw

According to the official candidates' list for the November 4 general election, the Republican candidates for City Council seats have withdrawn.

Does this mean the Democratic line is unopposed? Maybe not. If I may take the Hedda Hopper hat off Dan and put it on myself, the gossip is that  Randy B. will be running against Gloria instead of Rebecca and the GOP will run Bill Michelson against Rebecca.

The last date to fill a vacancy of Primary Election nominees is Sept. 11. (See all Election Dates here.) Stay tuned here or check the official list on Sept. 12.

  1. Michelson? Jerry Green and George Gore lack imagination if they think michelson can get votes. He is divisive and has done nothing to justify being put on the ballot. Charles Jones is 93 years old and probably did not want to run. Randy Bullock would give Gloria a run for her money because he is likable where she is just mean.

  2. She is mean. And if those in the Democratic Party who just cannot vote for an Republican will just stay home, or not vote for Taylor, we may have a chance at a decent council.

Vote Republican for the Third Ward Council, or don't vote at all!

  3. I'm a Dem and will vote for a Republican if it means that Taylor is out. She is too irresponsible and votes Jerry's line and not Plainfield's.

  4. Bob, Oh Please you would vote for Hitler to knock a powerful man like Jerry Green.

    1. You are apparently a Jerry flunky, so get real if you think Jerry and Gloria are good for Plainfield. Their track record show otherwise. I'm for Plainfield, who are you for?

    2. the irony of the comparison, anonymous... one believed and the other believes subjugation for most and rewarding a few in their inner circle with largess whilst they oppressively rule with the iron fist of dictatorship...

  5. I hope that the voters will vote for the good of Plainfield and not for the Green Team. I am tired of people not wanting to move Plainfield forward. I hope you are right about Mr. Bullock, I thought he was a good and fair person when he was on the school board

  6. The thing is Bob, neither Taylor or Green are ideal, but at least they try and don't simply stand on the sidelines and criticize.

    1. I've heard this tripe before. Usually it comes in the form of "run for office, or stop criticizing". Simply "trying" by showing up, casting a vote, or wielding power doesn't count for much.
