A United States Postal Service Job Fair at City Hall attracted a crowd Thursday with the promise of 750 openings. Job seekers who could not be there between 4 and 7 p.m,. can still file a candidate profile online at www.usps.com/employment and can then apply for one or more positions.

According to the United States Postal Service, approximately 700 Plainfield residents attended the job fair hosted by Mayor Mapp. When I drove down there, I saw a long line of folks. More partnerships such as this will go a long way toward providing good employment opportunities for our residents. Best of luck to everyone who applied!

These fairs give good general introduction to the job process, but have few results. People MUST ask friends, family, knock on doors and sell themselves to find something.
DeleteExcellent. Great news!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Mayor Mapp for arranging this event! We need more job opportunities for Plainfielders and this is a great first step. Hope you can set up more like this!
ReplyDeleteThis is great news and the Mayor should be proud. Maybe the next one could be PSE&G and/or Comcast.

I am glad to hear that the job fair was such as success.
ReplyDeleteWho was the genius who thought that having a march against violence on THAT day was a good idea? Dumb.
Jerry and his puppets, other wise known as the log jammers - do anything to stop success and keep Plainfield under their control.
DeletePlainfielders' we must take back our city for the betterment of all of us!
