I just took a look at the lovely bright yellow brochure from Union County Clerk Joanne Rajoppi and saw that Tuesday, Oct. 12 is the last day to register to vote in the November General Election. I think you can do this at the municipal clerk's office.
Speaking hyperlocally, there are two City Council seats up for re-election. They are the 1st Ward seat and the 2nd and 3 Ward at large.
First Ward contenders are incumbent Democrat William Reid and Republican challenger Sean Alfred.
The challengers for the 2&3 Ward at-large seat are Democratic primary winner Rebecca Williams and Republican James Pivnichny.
