The 88th annual July 4th parade will step off from Johnston Avenue at 10 a.m. today, proceeding on East Front Street to Madison Avenue.The theme this year is "The City of Plainfield Honors Athletic Excellence."

The weather will be sunny and hot, so dress accordingly and bring water. Viewing the parade can take two or more hours.
