Reprimand for Mayor?


This item appears on the agenda for Tuesday's City Council meeting:

COUNCILMANIC RESOLUTION REPRIMANDING MAYOR SHARON M. ROBINSON-BRIGGS
AND REFERRING RESULTS OF THE WBLS EXPENDITURE INVESTIGATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS, THE ATTORNEY GENERAL AND THE UNION COUNTY PROSECUTOR. (RESOLUTION FORTHCOMING)

The meeting is 8 p.m. in Municipal Court, 325 Watchung Ave.

    are they going to slap her hand and everything?? Wow....and I thought this was all "tough talk"...looks like it's going to be a throw down at the meeting!
    Maybe they'll even say she was "Bad"...tick tock tick tock...and I've uttered the words Paper Tiger regarding the New Dems...tsk tsk me.

    Hi, Bernice,

    I would respectfully ask that Rob (and all other concerned Plainfield residents and taxpayers) read our city charter with regard to the powers of the city council in terms of investigations and removals. Article II, Sec. 2.8 (a) and (b).

    Whoever does not vote for this reprimand, aka: Vera, should not ever be elected to public office again.

    If the council votes against this, can citizens send the report to the Union County prosecutor and the attorney general?

    Rebecca...I'll quote your fellow council members...it's all about Obama in 2012. They would have supported voting for her. And if she's running again..they'll vote for her again.
    So....the slap on the hand, the "reprimand" if you will may be all that you can "officially" do..but there has been plenty prior to the tongue lashing that could have been accomplished per her. If Adrian runs "against" wink - wink - nod - nod against her in a primary and loses we'll hear the battle cry of the New Dems....VOTE THE PARTY LINE nullifying any sense or purpose we could have had. Is why you see the sarcasm...your sect of the RDO's is like the petulant child awaiting the reprimand before the family photo when you all fall in line... It was a waste of time when you won't back it up with real action. And I might remind everyone who posed with a picture of "Obama" that he was about change...how proud he'd be of the New Dems..no?
