  1. How much campaign money will be raised?

Last mayoral race take was over $120K. Now that we have 4 running and other seats, We can only image how much of that "pay for play" will pay off.

Sadly We have so many organizations that truly help the residents and add to the makeup of our city to keep their lights on and have programs to that we all enjoy.

I suggest that all the candidates should give a big chunk of their haul to support our own.

Remember the campaign money you give is only for one purpose.

Giving or Donating to our Charitable organization is for a life time of support. Every little bit helps

    1. In 2013 the amount raised in contributions to mayoral candidates, for both primary and general elections, was closer to $265,000. This time around we won't know the whole picture until after the November election, but for most mayoral primary aspirants, not until mid to late May and June. Through the January 2017 filing date Mayor Mapp has raised nearly $230,000 going back to 2014, a prodigious amount for sure, and likely to go much higher now that our local P2P ordinance is history. To be fair, some of this does go to charitable contributions, but of course most goes to maintaining a very formidable political apparatus. It is highly unlikely that opposition candidates will be able to raise anything close.

  2. Did I read that correctly? Bridget couldn't even find someone in her own ward, her neighborhood, to run with her?

    That says a lot!
