Cuidado!
Ooops! The site of a March 10 campaign event is a nonprofit agency. If this agency has 501(c)(3) status, it can be lost through this type of activity. See guidelines here.
FYI, Angels in Action, or Carmen are not endorsing candidates on behalf of her non-profit organization. The IRS case law shows that non-profits organizations can use their facilities for political purposes not to endorse but to introduce. Example: Churches and Synagogues.
I have been reporting on Plainfield for more than 30 years, first at the Plainfield Today weekly, then at the Courier News and after retirement on the Plainfield Plaintalker blog and its successor, Plaintalker II.

This is Angels for Action, and yes, they are a 501(c)(3)non-profit according to their website.

ReplyDelete1. duCret isn't a non-profit school.
ReplyDelete2. duCret rents out space to all kinds of organizations.
3. Political clubs like PDCC can rent space for meetings.
4. Former chair of PDCC always used space at YWCA or YMCA for meetings.
