Tuesday's Council Meeting

NB: I can't help but notice that this is the 200th post of Plaintalker II, the successor to Plainfield Plaintalker, which exceeded 2,400 posts before I created it.

The agenda for Tuesday's meeting was posted online, but the packet with accompanying documents was not available when I called the Plainfield Public Library Saturday morning. Therefore, I cannot comment yet on controversial items without examining the background material.

Anyway, as is the norm recently, there will be a great many reports and discussions before the governing body gets around to considering items to be moved to the Sept. 13 regular meeting. These reports generally yield more information than can fit in a news report or blog post. One hopes that in months to come the reports will be published online so that interested citizens can digest them.

Plaintalker urges residents who may attend the agenda session to check out the link at the city web site in order to frame possible questions at the meeting.

The meeting is Tuesday, Sept. 7 at 7:30 p.m. in City Hall Library, 515 Watchung Ave.

Hope to see you there!

  1. Someone ought to ask about what happened at Washington School in July 2009 and ask them why this person wasn't prosecuted! I'll bet that most all the elected officials here abouts have had business with this individual at least once!

  4. Plainfield I ask that you take your Vote in November serious. Councilwomen Linda Carter you will not have my VOTE in November. You do not have the taxpayer's of Plainfield best interest at heart. Plainfield wake up stop allowing these Council member's to take out Vote lightly. The Mayor VETOD 2 ordinances that could only help the council hold administration feet to the fire. Let's watch and see what council member's allow the VETO to stick. We need help in this Great City of plainfield. Where is Christopher Christy when we need him.
