Please note Planning Division employees have requested that discussion of their future employment be heard in public. The hearing will take place sometime during the City Council's Executive Session, which begins at 6 p.m. in Municipal Court tonight, Sept. 8, 2015.

Is the executive session open to the public?

The affected employees have exercised their right to a hearing in open public session, therefore any discussion in executive session is illegal. The public session cannot be tagged onto the executive session, or occur during it, because it would then be considered a special meeting and would have to be properly advertised.
