COPA-cetic

Today's Google doodle reminded me that a lot of Plainfielders will be enjoying a sports competition this month. It is the Copa America Centenario, involving soccer teams from around the world and marking the 100th anniversary tournament with events in cities across the USA, including one in East Rutherford.

Even though I know nothing about sports, I have registered the excitement of soccer fans locally. A former neighbor painted his SUV with slogans for his team several years ago and was ecstatic when they won.

Diversity is one of Plainfield's primary values, so knowing a bit about soccer even if not a fan is good. Learn more about the Copa Americano Centenario and congratulate your friends and neighbors if their team wins!
